Set up a whiteboard scene in OBS Studio
- Open InfinitiCanvas and maximise it (or size it to 1920×1080 for a full-screen scene).
- In OBS, create a scene called Whiteboard and add a Window Capture source; choose the InfinitiCanvas window.
- Crop the title bar and toolbar if you like (Alt+drag the source edge) and add your webcam source in a corner.
- Assign a hotkey in OBS to switch to the Whiteboard scene so you can jump to it mid-stream.
- Keep chat on a second monitor; InfinitiCanvas does not need focus to stay on screen in OBS.
Tips for a readable stream board
- Use thickness 3 or 4 (
3,4); stream compression is harsher than recording. - Pick high-contrast colours and set two or three of them as your palette (right-click a swatch).
- Use pages as segments: an agenda page, a working page, a recap page.
- Paste viewer questions or screenshots from chat with Ctrl+V and answer them on the board.
- Export the final board as a PNG and post it in Discord or the VOD description.
Why a local app helps
Browser-based boards share CPU, GPU and network with your stream and can stutter when the encoder is busy. InfinitiCanvas draws locally, needs no internet connection and has no account to time out mid-stream. There is no audience interaction built in — viewers watch, and you read their ideas from chat.
Common questions
Does InfinitiCanvas work with Streamlabs or XSplit?
Yes. Any streaming software that can capture a window can show InfinitiCanvas.
Can viewers draw on the board?
No. InfinitiCanvas is single-user; it is a board for the streamer.
