Coming from Microsoft Whiteboard?

Everything you relied on. None of the account nonsense.

Microsoft is retiring the standalone Whiteboard apps for Windows, iOS and Android on October 16, 2026. Whiteboard on the web and in Teams is not part of that retirement. If you prefer a dedicated, pen-first Windows app that works offline after activation, InfinitiCanvas is built for that workflow.

  • Ruler with pen-snap — the same physical-object metaphor for straight lines and geometry
  • Auto-saves your board — reopen the app, your work is there
  • Infinite canvas, multiple pages — no cramped fixed frames
  • Light or dark UI — follows your Windows theme automatically
  • Custom colour palette — right-click any swatch to set your own
  • Paste screenshots straight from Snipping Tool — Ctrl+V drops a graph or table on the canvas to annotate
  • Native Windows app — no Microsoft account, no OneDrive dependency, no cloud round-trip
  • Fully offline — teach from anywhere, no internet needed after activation
  • Pay once, keep forever — $49, one-time, no subscription drift
Everything in the box

Designed for the way teachers actually teach.

No bloat. No cloud lock-in. Just the tools you reach for ten times an hour, polished until they disappear.

Truly infinite canvas

Pan, zoom, and write across a 100,000-pixel surface. Never run out of room mid-derivation again.

Pressure-smooth pen

Pen, eraser, and pan with frame-accurate stroke smoothing. Your handwriting looks like itself, not zigzag-vector-art.

Multi-page lessons

Tab through warm-ups, examples, practice, and homework — each on its own page with a custom name.

Recording-ready frames

Switch instantly between Infinite, Desktop 16:9, Tablet 4:3, and Mobile 9:16 framing for shorts and reels.

Never lose your work

Auto-saves every stroke and restores everything on next launch — pages, colours, view, all of it. Unlimited undo/redo the rest of the time. Close the app mid-thought without a second thought.

One-click PNG export

Drop today's working into Notion, an LMS, or an email in seconds. Files save as native .infiniticanvas projects, too.

Light or dark, either way — plus your own palette

Full light/dark UI toggle that follows your Windows theme automatically. Twelve canvas background presets, and right-click any colour swatch to set your own — save your two or three teaching colours to the toolbar so you never dig through a picker mid-lesson.

Ruler & straight-line tools

Drag a virtual ruler onto the canvas, rotate it to any angle, and the pen snaps to its edge — geometry proofs and vector diagrams the way you'd draw them on a real board. Or press L for a quick one-off straight line with Shift-to-snap.

Runs offline forever

Native desktop app. After activation, InfinitiCanvas never phones home. No accounts, no cloud, no internet required.

Questions

Things teachers ask before trying.

Should I install from Microsoft Store or the direct download?

Either works and both start the same 14-day free trial. Microsoft Store is the easier path for most teachers — one click, auto-updates, no "unrecognised app" warnings. The direct .exe download is there for people who can't use the Store (some school-IT policies block it) or want an offline installer they can copy to another machine. If Windows shows a "Windows protected your PC" screen when running the direct installer, click More info → Run anyway — that's standard for new independent Windows apps.

Do I really get 14 days free, no card up front?

Yes. Download, install, and use every feature for 14 days without giving us a card or an email. The trial counter starts on first launch and runs entirely on your machine. Only after the trial ends does the app ask for a license key.

Is this really a one-time payment?

Yes. $49, once, forever. No renewals, no surprise charges. Free updates for as long as InfinitiCanvas exists.

Does it work without an internet connection?

Yes. Both during the trial and after activation, InfinitiCanvas runs entirely offline. It does not phone home, does not upload your work, and does not require an account.

What happens to my work if the app crashes or my laptop dies?

Every stroke you draw is auto-saved to your computer within a couple of seconds. When you reopen the app, your pages, colours, view, and canvas mode all come back exactly as you left them — no "recover unsaved work" dialogs, no lost lessons. The file lives in your user folder, not the install folder, so it survives updates and reinstalls too. If you ever want to start from a blank canvas, there's a New Session button in the toolbar that resets everything with a confirm prompt.

Can I have a light-mode UI instead of dark?

Yes. There's a sun/moon button at the top-right of the toolbar that flips the whole UI between light and dark. On first launch the app also follows your Windows theme automatically — if you're already using Windows in light mode, InfinitiCanvas opens in light mode with no clicks needed. Your choice is remembered across restarts.

Does it have a ruler like Microsoft Whiteboard?

Yes — the same idea. Press R or click the ruler button in the toolbar and a virtual ruler with tick marks appears on the canvas. Drag its body to move it, drag the round knob at the right end to rotate to any angle. When your pen comes near its top edge, strokes snap to it. Perfect for geometry proofs, vector diagrams, engineering statics — anything where you'd reach for a physical straight-edge. For quick one-off diagonals without the ruler on screen, there's also a straight-line tool (L) with Shift-to-snap constraints.

Can I set my own colours instead of the seven defaults?

Right-click any colour swatch in the toolbar to change that slot to any colour you want. Your palette is remembered forever, so you can set your two or three teaching colours once and stop reaching for the picker mid-lesson. Right-click the dashed "+" slot if you ever want the original seven back.

Can I paste a screenshot (a graph, a table, an image) onto the canvas?

Yes. Take a screenshot with the Windows Snipping Tool (Win+Shift+S) or any other tool that copies to the clipboard, then press Ctrl+V on the InfinitiCanvas canvas — the image drops onto the centre of your current view. Draw and annotate on top of it with the pen tool. To rearrange it, resize it, or delete it, switch to the Select tool (keyboard shortcut V) — click the image to select, drag its body to move, drag the corner handles to resize (hold Shift for free aspect ratio), and press Delete to remove it. You can paste and arrange several images side-by-side to build a lesson, then switch back to the pen to annotate. Everything's saved with your session and included in PNG exports.

Where do I find my license key later? For a second computer, say.

Click the Licensed button in the top-right of the toolbar of any activated install — the modal shows your key with a Copy Key button. Paste it on the new machine's License screen. The license covers up to 3 of your personal computers.

Will it work with my drawing tablet / iPad screen mirroring?

InfinitiCanvas is built for stylus input on Windows desktops and laptops. It works smoothly with Wacom, Huion, XP-Pen, Surface Pen, and any tablet that emulates a pen on Windows.

What if my computer dies and I need to install on a new one?

Your license key is tied to you, not your hardware. Just paste the same key on the new machine — you can copy it out of the Licensed modal on any working install. The license covers up to 3 of your personal computers.

Can I get a refund?

Because the full app is free for 14 days with every feature unlocked, purchases are non-refundable once made — you've already had two weeks to decide whether it fits how you teach, on your own hardware, with your own lessons. If the trial didn't convince you, please don't buy. If it did, thank you, and enjoy the licence forever. Genuine exceptions (billing errors, wrong product bought by mistake, technical issues that prevented you from using the trial fairly) are always handled personally — email hello@infiniticanvas.com and we'll sort it out.

Is there a Mac or Linux version?

The Windows version is shipping today. Mac and Linux builds are in progress — your license key will work on those when they launch, no extra charge.

How do I get help if something breaks?

Email hello@infiniticanvas.com. You'll hear back from a human (the developer) within a day or two.

Stop fighting your whiteboard. Start teaching.
