Common questions

What is InfinitiCanvas?

InfinitiCanvas is a pen-first infinite whiteboard app for Windows 10 and 11. It was built for teachers and tutors who teach by writing, and is also used for handwritten notes, sketching, explainer videos, live streams and brainstorming. It runs locally with no account, no cloud sync and no telemetry.

Who is InfinitiCanvas for?

Anyone who explains or thinks with a pen on Windows: teachers and tutors, students taking maths and science notes, homeschooling parents, YouTube creators and streamers, people sketching or wireframing, and professionals explaining ideas on calls. It is designed for one person writing, not as a multi-user collaboration board. See all use cases.

How much does InfinitiCanvas cost?

A 14-day fully featured free trial, then $20 USD one-time during the current limited-time pricing (regularly $49). There is no subscription. Buyers keep every future update. See pricing.

Is there a free version or free trial?

Yes. The trial is 14 days with every feature unlocked, no card and no account. The counter starts on first launch and runs entirely on your computer.

Is it a subscription?

No. It is a one-time purchase with a lifetime licence. Why one-time pricing.

How many computers can I use one licence on?

Up to three of your own computers. Copy the key from the Licensed button on any activated install and paste it on the new machine.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Both during the trial and after activation it runs entirely offline. It does not phone home, upload your work or require an account. Licence keys are verified on the device.

Which Windows versions are supported?

Windows 10 and Windows 11. The installer is about 60 MB.

Is there a Mac, Linux, iPad or Chromebook version?

Not yet. The Windows version is shipping; Mac and Linux builds are in progress and an existing licence key will work on them at no extra charge.

Should I install from the Microsoft Store or the direct download?

Both start the same 14-day trial. The Microsoft Store is one click with automatic updates. The direct .exe is for schools whose IT blocks the Store or for offline installation; Windows may show “Windows protected your PC”, in which case choose More info → Run anyway.

Which pens and tablets work?

Surface Pen, Wacom, Huion, XP-Pen, and any stylus that Windows treats as a pen, including active pens on touchscreen 2-in-1 laptops. See drawing tablets and Surface Pen.

Does it have palm rejection?

Yes. Touches that arrive within 500 ms of pen activity are ignored and the pen always wins, so resting your hand on a touchscreen does not spoil strokes. Touchscreen laptops.

Can I use it in Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet?

Yes. Share the InfinitiCanvas window from the meeting's screen-share menu. Guides: Zoom, Teams, Google Meet.

Can students draw on the board with me?

No. InfinitiCanvas has no real-time multi-user editing. It is built for the teacher to write while students watch through screen share or a projector, then receive a PNG export.

Does it have a ruler and straight lines?

Yes. Press R for a movable, rotatable virtual ruler that the pen snaps to, or L for a straight-line tool with Shift snapping to 0°, 45° and 90°. Ruler guide.

Does it recognise shapes?

Yes. With shape recognition on, rough triangles, squares, rectangles, circles and ovals become clean shapes. Lines, arrows and stars are intentionally not converted. Shape recognition.

Does it have graph paper or lined backgrounds?

Yes: blank, ruled, grid and dot templates that cover the whole infinite canvas. Press G to cycle. Templates.

Can I paste screenshots and write on them?

Yes. Ctrl+V pastes any image; annotate over it with any pen. The eraser removes strokes only, never the image. Annotating screenshots.

Can I type text?

Yes. Press T and click to place a typed text box. Handwriting-to-text conversion is not included, because it would require a cloud service.

How do I save and share my work?

Work auto-saves locally and is restored on next launch. Save lesson files as .infiniticanvas projects with Ctrl+S, and export any page as a PNG image with one click.

Can I import a PDF?

Not yet. Paste screenshots of PDF pages with Win+Shift+S and Ctrl+V for now. PDF import is a candidate for a future release.

What happens if the app crashes or my laptop dies?

Every stroke is auto-saved within a couple of seconds to your user folder, so reopening the app restores your pages, colours and view. On a new computer, reinstall and paste the same licence key.

Can I get a refund?

Because every feature is free for 14 days first, purchases are non-refundable. Genuine exceptions such as billing errors are handled personally via hello@infiniticanvas.com.

Is there pricing for schools?

Yes. Email hello@infiniticanvas.com for volume pricing when five or more teachers need licences. For schools.

How do I get support?
